∞ “English.
They thought it was a language. It looked and acted like a language. Of course, it could be used to ‘communicate’… like other languages.
But after it destroyed their minds and laid waste to their relational intelligence and their remaining human cultures almost entirely — their grandchildren realized its actual function: it was a highly aggressive cognitive parasite. The cognitive analog of HIV. It went after the intelligence necessary to detect its identity and reject it — first. Once those obstacles were converted to assets, it went after the rest of the world.
It just so happened that certain individuals were slightly immune. Just enough to survive the initial onslaught, and, from then on, to act in the predator’s interest. So it looked just like any other language…
…until it started to spread.”

“Some definitions of magic are basically what some people refer to as psi (actual real-life macro-scale measurable and observable (so-called) “impossible” abilities that are developable through practice and experimentation) — as well as things like enchantments, including natural enchantments that are not human-ability related. Magic in that sense is not falsehood at all, it just gets discounted by materialists and psuedoskeptics as “it doesn’t exist because my worldview claims it’s impossible”.”

“In a dream,»identity has little to do with categories.
And much to do with »relationship.”

∞ Nobody sees my ghost,
hanging on the telephone line of culture,
mumbling at nightmares, chortling to dreams.
Her roots sink down into time; tubers and stones.
Her branches rise up into space; flowers and birds.
Nobody hears my ghost, hanging in the howling wind of news;
her gaze ardently following lovers, recoiling from wars.
Her fingers stretch out to greet each child and creature;
deeply reading the braille of every living book.
Her feet never find the earth;
natural citizens of the deepest sky.
My ghost receives the Nobody who finds her.
Loves him with mad abandon.
Endlessly embracing his shapeless shape.
Her legs coil around his whisper;
her eyes encompass his timelit gaze.
∞ “Would we were more terrified at our own absence from intelligence, identity, meaningful action and discovery… than of such things as must arise wherever we abandoned virtues for convenience and deception.”

watch
I would watch a finger
move its world through the needle’s eye
for hours, just to rent something pleasant
because the money had this really bad smell
that night when the jets ripped up
all the good comedians
and let those great remains float down like rain
I would gather bits of river
late at night, alone in a silent shell
kicking at the wall, but gather them
into a tiny mirror
hold that up, to see
the moon behind me
with it’s good feature, that it made
no judgment

“If I started thinking seriously about ‘red flags’ or ‘green flags’ in terms of dating, I’d feel like I was involved in a accounting transaction rather than a relationship.”
